@2 If you dl, go to Am-Addiction, D-Addicts or its Soompi page for links and torrents. The subbing squad is WITH S2 so you can get the subs from them @ http://withs2.com . Other than that, I'm pretty sure there isn't anywhere that is streaming subs legally.
I started Invincible Lee Pyung Kang and its very fun so far. I like it. Can't wait for the finale of WISFC! Also, does anyone know what is to premiere in its time slot? Still haven't gotten into Chuno but I'm not too upset about that. I'm sure I'll jump in when the time is right.
What do you think about this CN Blue plagiarism issue? I listened to the song and its definitely fishy. I'm very concerned about the k-pop industry having these types of issues so consistently.
hi all! my sister needs help remembering a Kdrama or movie title. all she remembers is that the hero cleans the bathroom or kitchen obsessively (with a toothbrush) whenever he is frustrated.
is it a Kdrama, or is she thinking of a Hollywood movie?
...My two friends (we met & became friends through Gong Yoo Lover Group) &I are embarking on our 1st Korean trip 3 months from now...Problem is..it's our first time out of the country (the Philippines) & although we're trying to come up with an itenerary...we're at a loss,as to how to go about inquiring about GY's schedule & stuff!!! We're planning on visiting Coffee Prince the Cafe & some of their location sites...& ultimately to try & see(or if possible) meet GY!!!! & of course take in Seoul's sights & sounds, too...
Can anyone out there, give us some advice???
I can't believe it's Friday already! Yesterday felt like a very long week in itself since I couldn't stop making mistake after mistake at first. I'm feeling pretty discouraged now since I have been working there for awhile now and am still making the most elementary of mistakes (at least it's never the same mistake) that I don't see other ppl making.
Maybe this weekend will bring things into a more positive perspective. I going back in to work on Sunday, so hopefully I will have a chance to do something positive.
Been eagerly watching Wish Upon a Star. The show just keeps on surprising me with its poignant moments, touching dialogue, and Pal Gang's determination to improve herself. She is also someone I can relate with. I can be tongue-tied and make mistakes at work, but I do talk pretty well when I'm at home. I hope to see Pal Gang become one of the leading insurance salesppl at her company. I really hate the secondary female lead. There are a lot of unlikable female leads out there, but she is just so lacking in sympathy and in emotional range. And I wonder if other people in korea are wondering abt the male leads' hairstyles?
@4 gailT There is a similar character in a hong kong movie I've seen: it's called Needing You. But it's a girl who cleans obsessively when she's upset.
Chuno episode 6 - exciting, and the three slave hunters awesome !!!. and with the new OST - song - the music - echo, chanting sound from a monastary ?. AND the ERHU instrument - awesome!!
Here's an obscure one (JB, you can play too if you want!):
NO RESEARCH OR RE-WATCHING THE DRAMA TO GET THE ANSWER- either you remember, or you don't know
Trivia Question #1 (1 point) At the birthday party of Prince Shin, in that almost great drama series Goong, what present did Prince Shin get from his former girlfriend, Hyo-rin?
Dropping in to proclaim my undying love and gratitude for Javabeans and her site!
(No homo though! Haha!)
Happy Friday y'all!
So glad it's the weekend, though rushing home from work to watch WUAS and WISFC keeps my working week O-SUMZ (read much, much, much more bearable and exciting)!
7 asianromance - totally with you about WUAS! It just keeps getting better, though best eppie thus far is 5, and the ending part of 6 was a winner too.
Really wish SDW was the main male lead but then suppose they needed an evil dood in there too, other than the trio that is Jae-young and her ma and pa. Urgh - right?
Trivia Question #2 (1 point) In the underrated drama series, Save The Last Dance For Me, with Ji Sung, Eugene and Kang Ji Hwan (he has a small role), when Ji Sung regains his memory for a second time (for the second amnesia), he puts something inside the mailbox that he built for Eugene... what was it?
So... still no hopes for God of Study ep. 5-6 recap huh?!!! I hate the whole license pending thing in viiKii. Urgh! If anyone knows where to watch God of Study ep. 1-6 english subbed, let me know!!! Thanks.
@3 Notoriousnoona. OMG, it is the same song. I have been listening to CN Blue's mini album all week, and I love it, but it really is not their own song! Why kpop again?
@7 asianromance: I too am hooked on Wish Upon A Star. It's so much better than I originally anticipated. I don't know about you but Jae Young has such wierd looking lips, I find myself just staring at them when she's on. The character is lacking and the acting is worse.
@JB, I know you have been debating among the Mon/Tue dramas but please continue to recap Pasta. It's so good.
Haven't been here at OT for a while. I've missed all you wonderfully witty people.
I haven't starting watching Chuno, but hope to catch up this weekend. (Is it that good?)
My baby turned 18 this week. Boy, do I feel old. (Hay sweetie, she's probably reading this from school. Get to work!!)
Just had to say that i love how OT never ends. i almost went on last week's OT and then i realized it was friday and there was a brand spankin' new one!
@ samsooki
i like this game!! for your first Q, it was an mp3 player right? and then they listened to it together later on and someone got a pic of it :) man i really did love goong... until the last few eps..
@ asianromance - *hugs* I totally know how you feel. that's why I hate starting the week out making a mistake because it makes me lose confidence/get frustrated and start to make more during the week. I've found what helps is actually forcing myself to take a break. Go to my car, drink some tea, something to clear my mind and help me move beyond my mistake and regain my confidence. You were hired for a reason so have a little more faith in yourself! ^__^ Since this week was so bad, next week can only be better!
Can I also say how much I *loved* OT #118.....it's the first thing I check on every morning and I don't think I could've gotten through the week without it. Reminds me of a mass dysfunctional family each with its own endearing quirks. ^^ Thanks again!
Though I must say, I'm sorta jealous about all of the West Coast/Cali meetups. *sniffles* Am I the only one representing the DC-Metro area?
I have successfully survived the first three days of classes. Now let's see if I can survive the first full week (next week).
This weekend will probably be spent doing homework, catching up on dramas that I've neglected lately (WISFC and a few others), and working on writing a short story. Maybe I'll watch "Save the Last Dance For Me" again because I can't really remember the majority of what happens in it. None of the small things are sticking in my brain. I only remember the ending.
I'm heading to medial school in July... does this mean no more dramas??? =(
I'm sure going to miss it if that is so... maybe I'll get my dose of dramas thru JB!! ^_^

I can't wait for WISFC to finish airing that way i can have a marathon watching it next weekend. thanks JB for recapping it - you definitely make me want to watch it after reading your recaps!!
@ samsooki - i know it was an mp3, but i don't know the answer to #2 trivia.
does anyone know where i can buy a hanbok in NYC or near that area? i've been invited to my friend's Korean traditional wedding ceremony. any help would be much appreciated.
Ugggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh~ I need to rant, so here we go.
I'm starting to hate my housemates. Like, actively dislike.
First, when we moved in I EXPRESSLY requested that there be no late-night laundry, because the laundry room is right next to my room and the washer/dryer are both very loud when they're running. Also, because I shower in the evening, the washer takes up a lot of the hot water and make showering uncomfortable for me. So what's been happening recently? Of course, BOTH of my housemates decide that not only do they need to do their laundry this week, they need to do every single load they have at 9pm. That's 3 1/2+ hours of laundry, people (because they will inevitable forget to come check and therefore leave their clothing sitting dormant in the washer for 20-45 minutes every time), severely disrupting my shower and my sleep schedule.
When I reminded the housemate I'm closest to about the arrangement we made when we moved in, she simply blew me off and accused me of taking my hormones out on her. Honey, I hadn't been angry before, but I am now. Please do not ignore me when I bring up a legitimate concern, and then take our other housemate our for a smoke so you can talk about me where you know I won't follow you. (Also, WHY ARE YOU SMOKING BY OUR DOOR?!)
Also, today my roommates are sending me out for stamps. This wouldn't bother me, except that some of the bills need to be mailed out today and they gave me no indication that we were out of stamps until really late last night. Um, that's nice, what do you want me to do about it? Yeah, it's my turn to buy stamps, but I always pay my share of the bills online, so I have no idea when we're running low. If you guys know we're running low, why don't YOU go get stamps, and I'll pay you back later? Either that, or inform me a few days beforehand, so that I can get some on one of my many errand runs I did earlier in the week. Telling me at 10pm the night before is not going to guarantee that you get your stamps on time. (Why can't they just pay their bills online like I do? Soooooooo much simpler.)
One of my housemates is also a Nazi when it comes to our electric. If I walk away from the living room for more than 5-10 minutes, I'll return to discover that the TV has been turned off and unplugged, even if all of my stuff is still clearly there and it's obvious I'm coming back soon. I don't go into your room and turn off your lights and TV and unplug your computer every time you go to the bathroom, do I? I thought not. We're only here for the year, so it's not going to make THAT much of a difference. Loosen up. (Since we're Comcast customers, it takes about 20 minutes for the cable box to program everything again, so it's doubly inconvenient and annoying, especially when I'm waiting for a particular show to come on and I can't remember the channel.)
In addition, my housemates destroyed two of my pans, as well as my cookie sheets. The cookie sheets they claimed they were never going to use, and so made me pay for. Guess who uses them the most? (Hint: It isn't me.) As for the pans, sure, one of them was already in the house when I moved in (like most of our dishes), but one of them was part of a set that my grandmother left to my father when she died. I had to beg and plead in order for him to let me bring them, and I warned my housemates to be careful with them.
UGH. I can't wait until graduation when I can move out. I'm sick of living with these people. I don't ever want to live with anyone again until I get married. Housemates suck.
@4 "hero cleans the bathroom or kitchen obsessively (with a toothbrush)"
I vaguely recall a movie with this in it too but can't remember which one it is. It's not Full House, although the main characters did a lot of cleaning and plenty of brushing teeth, I don't recall either of them actually cleaning with a toothbrush :)
As for the HK movie Needing You, wasn't it Andy Lau's character who used to clean the toilet obsessively every time he was depressed or did he do it because he loved Sammi Cheng's character so much he copied her habits? Either way, I don't remember them using a toothbrush!
My memory always fails me....I'll see if this movie title will pop up some time later.
In the mega drama series, My Name Is Kim Sam Soon, Samsoon's sister sleeps with Samsoon's work colleague and chef a few times. The SECOND time the sister sleeps with the chef, the sister leaves the chef a gift on the night stand.
LOL! This is a super wild guess... I really can't remember... How are you able to remember this little detail!? haha! does this mean I have to rewatch MNIKSS for the hundredth time?!
anyway I remember him letting her borrow his pants when she had a wardrobe malfunction... so there goes my guess.. or am I just making all these up in my head? LOL!
I recently drew this picture that I took from your website. hahah It's not as good as the original but I was testing my skills on photoshop... It seems that I need to improve. It's all Just one layer.
It's a picture from the Chuno thread... I loved it so much I had to draw it. The blue was just captivating. The photo is awesome especially with the hair floating, it's definitely something captured in time, endless. http://noke04.deviantart.com/art/chuno-150955815
"Truly, my sympathies. It’s a good thing that spouses don’t have any of those annoying habits. :) :) :)"
LOL. More like I figure I can live with these annoying habits better if I'm in love with/sleeping with my housemate. ;) Besides, I should hope that I will be comfortable enough with the man I eventually marry to confront him about the super annoying habits, and forgiving enough to let the little ones slide.
In the nearly perfect drama series, Coffee Prince.... Poor Eun Chan is distraught and saddened by the fact that she is going away to Italy to study for a few years how to press a button on a coffee maker to brew coffee.
the Coffee Prince Min Yub gives Eun Chan a going-away present. What is it?
Hi, all!!!
it's been raining cats and dogs here in Orange County... a tornado to boot!
What are you guys planning to do for the weekend? My skydiving plan went
kapoof coz of the rain... arggh....now, I'm just going to comfort myself with a
pint of Rocky Road IC [my grandma always says to never go against the weather].
@ 34 Kender
Your housemate actually unplugs the tv, like, everytime that it's turned off? I guess I get unplugging it off each night but this just seems silly and extreme. But, this is coming from a person that never unplugs anything (practically) when not in use.
I haven't been watching any of the series currently on air (Except for Smile, You) which sucks because I cannot really join in on any discussions. However, I've been catching up on old dramas so I get to have mini-marathons and not wait a week to find out what happens next. This is also how I watch Mad Men (DVR is a wonderful thing) but not how I watch LOST (must discuss and speculate!)
ETA
Trivia question 3: Money?
Trivia question 4: Make up?
@ Samsooki---mp3 player as he (Shin) loves to listen to music. Ok after reading your post I went straight to answer it. So did not read the others responses.
Gosh looking forward to WISC watching this weeks. I have been watching with Chinese Subs but my Chinese is not so hot especially with simplified script. Loving Pasta and in its light fluffy way Gong Hye Jin and Lee Seon Kyun are cute. Honey Lee doesn't do it for me and I am personally biased and happy to see more of Alex in the recent episodes.
@4 gailT: There is a minor-ish male character in Dal Ja's Spring -- the older man that Dal Ja likes for a while, and who has a psycho wife -- who cleaned obsessively. I don't remember exactly but I think he cleaned when he was upset...and I think he used a toothbrush.
Which is totally normal because you need a toothbrush to get to the corners and nooks and crannies -- especially the corners of the bathtub and around the faucet -- or that is how I defend myself when people comment on my supposedly obsessively clean house/office/car.
@kender: I feel for you. Your housemates also seem particularly evil.

"I don’t ever want to live with anyone again until I get married. Housemates suck."
Truly, my sympathies. It's a good thing that spouses don't have any of those annoying habits. :) :) :)

LOL. More like I figure I can live with these annoying habits better if I'm in love with/sleeping with my housemate. ;) Besides, I should hope that I will be comfortable enough with the man I eventually marry to confront him about the super annoying habits, and forgiving enough to let the little ones slide.
