A Movie Is A Movie
by javabeans
As briefly mentioned earlier, Kang Ji Hwan stars in a new movie with So Ji Sub. Wow. Two heartthrob stars who are actually strong actors, working together!
Their film is titled A Movie Is A Movie and just wrapped filming yesterday, having begun shooting in May. Their final filming session actually began on June 30, but lasted 26 hours, culminating in an underground parking-lot scene in Kyunggi-do on the morning of July 1. A reported hundred extras were on set for the wrap.
Directed by Jang Hoon (assistant director on 2006’s Time, 2005’s The Bow), A Movie Is A Movie centers around two vastly disparate characters — So Ji Sub is a gangster “living a reality more movie-like than a movie,” while Kang Ji Hwan plays a reckless actor. There’s not much to go on with that description, but based on the draw of both lead actors, the movie was even pre-sold overseas; it is scheduled to release in the fall.

SONG OF THE DAY
Jung Jae Hyung – “일요일 오후” (Sunday afternoon) feat. Jung In. For some reason, I think it’s an unwritten rule that I must love all songs titled “Sunday Afternoon.” [ Download ]

AAAh,,, I'm going *jinja* crazy
So JI Sub and Kang Ji Hwan
Exactly these actors I love the most and both are acting together, I think I must be dreaming... They are both great actors but they are quintessentially different as actors. So Ji Sub Is the ganster type you are afraid of at first but as soon as you look into his eyes you will fall for them. And he is the type of guy who would protect you your whole life.................... And Kang JI Hwan ..hm... He is just the type of man everygirl would wish to have as a boyfriend. Handsome, cute, funny, and on the top of all he is a guy with a great heart. hehe (^_^)
Andeeee :'( :'( ... I have to wait for more than a year (if i have luck) until I can watch this movie with eng. subs.

Yeah, many American K-drama fans don't realize this, but Kang Ji Hwan has been popular in China for awhile due to BSGS. So it's good marketing on both Chinese and Japanese fronts. It seems like a good concept too. "Don't kill me I'm just an actor" is perfect for Ji Hwan; and well So Ji Sub can do "I bury people alive for a living but what I really want to do is direct" in his sleep.
Kinda hope SJS moves away from tough guy roles though, and Ji Hwan is meant to be a actor in Serious Films playing opposite Jang Jin Young.

I really do not like smoking. I think its stinky and undesirable, and yet why, oh why, is KJH so hot in that picture?! I guess his smexy factor is that overpowering...

I actually want to see this movie. I've never really been interested in any of So Ji Sub's projects cuz the story lines never suited my tastes, but I think I can get into this one. :D

A film came out from second director of Kim Ki-Duk's films should be good we guess. Hope this film is promising as we're Kim Ki-Duk fans. Anyway, a movie is a movie. :)

ey, javabeans, I'm new here. Ive just finished watching Hong Gil Dong, which eventually lead me to your website. thank you for writing such interesting and witty recaps. I've been saving your Hong Gil Dong recaps..just in case I don't get over this obsession soon (although its abit late considering that it ended months before i ever got the wind of it). I'd be watching out for more quality Kdramas from you. I love the way you write!!!
